I don't quite understand,why are all the hero exams so combat orientated?How did people like recovery girl and the principle actually pass them in the first place?I highly doubt Laughing Girl could pass UA's entrance exam for example,I don't think her laughs can immobilize robots.

Because the author wants to show off cool action and he wants to show off weird quirks, and the two desires have certain points where they can't coexist, and he just chooses to ignore that and deal with such details offscreen.

Hmm, that's odd, it didn't say anything about using your set of ammo, or anything about re-using ammo at all; this pretty much makes the game similar to dodge ball, if you control the ball, you control the field.

This seems to be a contest that gives undue advantage to those with better projectile skills, obviously, but also those with better hand to hand skills. The latter can specifically be used to overcome the disadvantage of only having 6 balls. The balls just has to hit the target, right? No one ever explicitly said it had to leave their hands to do it...

It's a bit of poor writting I guess.I also think the way how they are establishing quotas of how many people can pass instead of looking at individual performance is a bit too arbitrary.

^in the real world the nobody can demand a fair treatment, most of the time they will be in a difficult spot, so the tests do the same,
even the roboter-exam of UA does it, people who have powers who cant battle robots need to learn the necessary skills for it otherwise in the hero world they will be useless in such situations

I guess this applied the same in gaming world too. Support characters was treated unfair too. No one care whether you can support your team flawless or not. It is all about the guy who did the most damage and kills in the battle.

It's a shame it was made so obvious the hand-shake was a trap from that kid, it would have been a nice twist later on. Perhaps this means Bakugou, the only one who didn't shake his hand, is going to save his comrades' asses? Would further show he has grown up a bit.

if he says "i only did this because if UA-students lose so easily than every idiot will look down on me too" than im not sure if we can see it as "growth" but it surely would be some cool scene

^oh, hori trolls us? would be interesting, but seeing 103 and the energy around a single thrown ball i would say that the handshake was really some preperation for the boys quirk :/

As the test starts, a kid with a boomerang quirk sets his strategy into motion: He buries the balls of his friends underground, and they shoot out as a surprise attack from below. As far as the UA kids go, Jirou tells her friends to stay back, and unleashes a powerful sound amplifier attack that destroys the ground! Deku says that the point of this test is to figure out the opponents' quirks and weaknesses. Soon afterward, that Shindou kid from last chapter makes his move.... it turns out that he has a shockwave-type quirk that can create earthquakes!


At another part of the arena, we see that hot-blooded Inasa kid in action. He shouts out that heroes need to be hot-blooded, and that he has the hottest blood of all. He then gathers a bunch of balls with his quirk (which seems to be wind-based), and in a single move, takes out 120 students at once! Back to Deku, he's in the middle of analyzing quirks when he's suddenly attacked by a girl, who lands a hit on his chest target! It turns out she's that girl from Inasa's school we saw a couple chapters back. Interestingly, Deku is still calm despite the surprise attack, which is something the new girl comments on (she even thinks he's cool!). And yes, our hero is indeed wearing a grin as he faces off against this latest adversary....!!!!




Wow, that Inasa guy is insane if he can take out that many students in one shot. Sounds like both him and Shindou can give the strongest UA students a real run for their money. BTW, I'm glad that Jirou gets some time to shine, too!

^wow, his powers are....really something, of course maybe he is like Iida in a running match, if this ball-test is his forte than maybe he will be "down to student lvl" in a real fight

either way, i want to see bakugou vs wind-guy a lot more

PS: who fears that bakugou and todo will resolve their test off-screen and somehow get a similar score as wind-guy?

wowwy, the control of windboy is incredible accurately hitting 360 target at once :O deku is getting a girl as enemy again >_< and i wonder what he is planning, he is to calm for a "no idea what to do"-type

and no panel of todos/bakugous/hardboys situation still, the quirk of the boys seem really interesting, acid-girl usage looked really cool and shockwave-girls power is far more destructive than i thought

PS: it seems like it was a red herring, the handshaking doesnt seem to be any set up for a homing quirk <_<

I kinda realized that...Shiketsu's uniforms really look like army or police uniform, especially the cap that they were wearing in this chapter.

either way, i would say the girl that hit deku has a teleportation type quirk OR she can make herserlf invisible, either way, this will be a difficult enemy

So how many chapters do you think it will take for villains to interrupt the exam and then we will have "OH man, UA students were so strong. They can fight ahead with those villains without pissing in their pants..we sucks".

If they're dumb enough to attack with multiple schools worth of heroes in training (over 1000), then they get what they have coming.
