Should be quite the journey Ban is heading on. It does seem like the logical place to give him a power-up. He's been fairly ineffective for quite a while now. But in that kind of place....he's bound to get stronger. Though he'll definitely go through a lot for it.

Also kind of wonder what kind of state/form we'll find Meliodas's emotions in. Could be a strange kind of team fight against the Demon King to wrestle them free.

Purgatory probably is where Ban will get the power up that he desperately needs. He's sort of dead weight the way he is now.

I wonder if the Sins remember what Meliodas said has to happen for Elizabeth's curse to be lifted. I don't like it, though, so hopefully can retain his greater power even after regaining his emotions and then defeat Zeldris to break Elizabeth's curse. He shouldn't have to do exactly what the Demon King wants him to.

I want to know Merlin's true name already. Just what's the name that scares all of the demons except the higher level ones (if not them as well)?

Spoiler for 244:

Interestingly, this chapter doesn't focus on the sins OR the demons. Instead, it focuses on Dreyfus, Hendy, and princess Margaret. Apparently, Margaret was called to the Druids' altar (a creepy-looking statue thing). The altar tells her that it was waiting for a soul like her's, and offers to answer her prayers. She says she's willing to devote herself to the entity as long as she's able to rescue Gilthunder from Vivian, which leads to whatever was in the altar to invade her soul!

Hendy tries to Purge the entity from Margaret, but it's too late. Interestingly, the entity says that it taught the Purge magic to the druids long ago. It also marvels at how its magic is highly compatible with Margaret's body, who sprouts wings. The entity then introduces itself as a Goddess.... more specifically, LUDOSHEL OF THE FOUR ARCHANGELS. He asks Hendy and Dreyfus to join Stigma and eradicate the demon clan together....!!!!

Is the title of the chapter "The chosen Queen" like it was supposed to be, or was it changed?

In the scanlated version of Chapter 243, the title of the next chapter was shown as being "The Chosen Princess" rather than "The Chosen Queen". It could be referring to Margaret.

The one I read said Queen. Princess does make more sense in light of the content of the chapter.

Yep, queen (女王) was a mistake on CR's part. The correct translation is princess (王女).

^It is fitting that Ban returns from Purgatory and finishes of Ludoshel. The "Ban" from the past in Gloxinia's memory hated Stigma and suffered a brutal death. It would be a nice connection. Though of course, Gil must rescue Margaret before that.

^Nah, I just thought that it would be nice if Ban gets to demonstrate his power ups against Stigma, specifically Ludoshel. Ban and his lookalike both fell in love with the sisters of the fairy kings and they had tragic love. So I thought it would be a nice touch if Ban and Elaine do not suffer the same fate as their predecessors.
