Agree, High School Fleet seriously lacked all the charm that Girls und Panzer had. GuP was very self-aware of how silly its concept was and played to that, but HSF takes itself much more seriously and ends up just feeling dumb as a result. It tries to create drama through it being "real" combat instead of a sport but there are no actual stakes to anything so it just falls flat.
The characters were also much worse. GuP may not have had the deepest characters but they were all very entertaining and memorable. HSF has a huge cast of crewmembers who appear for a couple seconds each episode and may as well have not even been named, and a core group of about 6, some of whom were so uninteresting I don't even remember their names either. They felt totally 1-dimensional, more like tropes than actual characters. I don't think it's even worth watching unless you really want to see IJN warships animated. |

Well High School Fleet. I tried it, and yea, it was a MOE fest in a serious setting. It did not work for me at all. Pretty well what RWB said is how I feel about it as well.
Anyway, moving on to WOWS, at least they fixed the anchor on the Shiny Horse. However the Armor Scheme in on my Iowa (and I think others) is off. It does not show any belt armor at all. |

Speaking of armor schemes, I'm surprised to see how edgy the athwart-ship armor in IJN battleships. Maybe it's just me seeing them look like that for the first time.
If people are interested to hear this, here it goes: Based on my study on Soviet cruisers armor layout, Pr. 94 - Budyonny is clearly not directly developed from Kirov like Pr. 28 - Shchors, but rather based from said design on different hull design of their own. Budyonny sits lower on sea due to lower athwart-ship and draft length, whilst Shchors sat a lot higher than the direct predecessor Kirov. Later on, Pr. 68 - Chapayev was developed from Pr. 28 - Shchors, while also count as Kirov's successor. Regardless, both has no torpedo bulkheads or bulges. |

Tough luck, man. I got mine yesterday while I was rushing to complete cruiser challenges. At the same time, I won ARP Nachi along the way.
I'm from SEA, by the way. Continuing from my previous post, I need to revise all armor schemes on Russian dreads and Soviet battleships + battlecruisers. I would as well need to make changes on my presentation threads. |

Looking forward to see the brand new IJN DDs. And by the way, don't forget to form a division of Mutsuki, Fubuki and Shiratsuyu. |
