Just noticed something really impressive about Lee
His stamina is absolutely incredible. So Sasuke was winded and the taijutsu was noticably taking its toll after a minute or two of him using it in his fight against Gaara. Now this is the genius Uchiha who has enough chakra to perform both fire and lightning jutsu as a genin, several times a day. Now Lee was doing this for quite some time in his fight against Gaara. Not only that, the purpose of his ridiculous leg weights are to directly offset that monstrous speed, which means hes powered up ALL THE TIME!!! Think about that. If he could only use ninjutsu...

Imagine the range, volume, and intensity of a Katon jutsu coming out of Lee. Or the silly things he could do to people's minds with his speed and normal bunshins. He could run in and out of his own images and his opponents would have no idea (plus he'd have a ton of bunshins). Its just so sad...

Stamina rankings before TJ. (Konoha Genin)
Naruto: 4 Sasuke: 3 Rock Lee: 3 Chouji:2.5 Neji: 2.5 Shikamaru: 2 Kiba: 2 Shino: 2 Tenten: 1.5 Hinata: 1.5 Sakura 1.5 Ino: 1.5 So Lee definitely has very good stamina for his age. But I wouldn't call it absolutely incredible or anything. He'll probably max out a 5 in his peak years like Gai. And if someone raised his I.Q. by about 50 points. |

If i am correct...Lee trained himself that much....not Gai.
I think a few flashbacks proved that....and when he was taking a break because he got emotional (obviously after training so much without results) Gai was there to ask him if he took a break already!

As a sidenote (although irrelevant) i think you guys already know ... Rock Lee is kind of a tribute to Bruce Lee (i think i read something like that under wikipedia) ... he most likely will remain the fastest konoha taijutsu ninja.

Yea...its true. He doesn't fight smartly at all. Its sad that Sasuke obviously doesn't have the kind of skill that Lee does, since his body hasn't been used to it for as long, but he manages to progress against Gaara's defenses much more rapidly because he fights smartly. He doesn't try to pound his way through the shield of sand like lee does...when hes about to hit it (and he knows he'll get blocked) he backs away and comes at it from a different angle.

It really wouldn't have gone any differently. The reason that suiken lee was so powerful was because he was unpredictable, but in actuallity the direct nature of his attacks probably helped him more than hurt him in his Gaara fight, since predicting stuff never even entered into Gaara's strategy. Actually...his strategy seemed mostly to be "oh crap, what do I do, I can't even see him...I hope my sand takes care of this."

Not true at all. Like Guy said in the fight between Lee and Gaara. Since Lee can't mold chakra outside of his body he focuses all of his time on Taijutsu. Now if he could do Nin and Genjutsu that would be different he wouldn't be able to be 1/10 of the Shinobi he is...
