The 2nd episode did reveal that the clay dogs were sent by those that wanted her dead, which Alan's family is involved in, and with your input, it only makes sense that the dogs were more powerful than I thought. It's just the animation did a s***ty job at making them seem intimidating enough. Same with Beatrice and the Hero. Doesn't really make sense to omit the guards, unless they were just being cheap(i.e. didn't want to draw them to save time); there's no other explanation.
After the 3rd episode, I'm placing my expectations at rock bottom; its basically a crappy adaptation, similar to
Slow Life in my 30s or
My Daughter is an S-Rank Adventurer. It's the 3rd ep, and he hasn't even settled down in the town yet. I'll keep watching for now, but I expect to be complaining as long as I'm watching.
