True, it wouldn't really had worked in Anime format.
They did the same in Manga as well (they revealed the truth long before in it even compared to the LN).
But for some odd reason, in the Manga they had Slyphie suffer from Temporary Amnesia, after the time she fell from the sky until the case with the assassination attempt. Not sure why the Author changed stuff in the Manga.
