Agree that the plot
could not be more basic, but it's not the animation, cast, or music that sell the series, it is the atmosphere.
They hit the vibe and feel of being out at night all alone or with a very small group of friends (and no one else around) pretty perfectly.
A peaceful stillness and then a little rush when you realize that the space and time you find yourself is solely
yours. That feeling.
