Same here regarding the film sticking the landing! Faithfulness to the source is secondary to how well this series can create a plausible path to the end. With that being said, the promo art sometimes is just merely thus.
Yuru Camp had a key visual of Rin eating dinner with Sakura, but we never saw that in the second season proper, for instance.
