I was groaning so hard the moment the MC was saying "
I wanna make everone smile!". It worked for Godai Yusuke from
Kamen Rider Kuuga when paired with gritty setting. But here, it's just cheese-fest.
And the first kaiju is just a fusion of the two kaijus from the first episode of
Ultraman Tiga. And the main villain is just a recycled Ultra-Ex-Girlfriend from
Ultraman Tiga movie.
Also, the OP is weak. It's ust by-the-numbers J-pop noise.
Other than those, I have no big complaints about this episode. I did chuckle a bit when Trigger and his Ex-GF started to mud-wrestle outta nowhere. "Mud-wrestling Ultra Ex-lovers" sounds like someone's fetish. Don't tell me it's the director's
.
