It's a shame the audio dramas that were released weekly on youtube are not translated. They're not necessary to enjoy the show but add to the overall experience and with the release of the last one this week, also makes the finale have even more... impact.

The gist of the audio dramas are that Satoshi, the giraffe high schooler, had hijacked the transmission of a listening device planted in a ball pen that has been shown switching hands throughout the anime if you look for it. This is actually his main part of the narrative as opposed to the small bits he had in the anime. Every week has him stream clips of conversations of the person who holds the pen, giving bits of supplementary information to the audience. By the end...

It's revealed that the original owner of the listening device is Taeko, the izakaya owner, and because the pen has recorded some rather unsavoury details about a certain killer idol, you hear Taeko presumably being offed by her as Satoshi livestreams the audio and it cuts off as killer idol threatens to kill him next, being aware of what he's been doing. In the epilogue of the anime you see her in possession of the pen as she makes her way to Odokawa, on top of Taeko and Satoshi never being shown in the present as the ED theme plays....
