Technically, I don't think you can call them psychopaths if their mindset is that alien. At the end of the day its pretty simple, one eats the other and the other isn't going to just lay down and get eaten, so it evolves to better hunt its prey. Its too smart to be domesticated and even if you can broker a deal with them in the short-term, you're still a viable menu option. My question is what brought them into the world so different than other animals or sapient species?
That being said, I am so glad I didn't start reading this right after Helck because that would have been some whiplash.
