Yup. They mind raped a planet (Al Shawhatsit). Who knows how many people died. You do understand, Kazu, that an entire planet's population going blank means planes falling, cars crashing and other mass disasters? The wind committed something akin to genocide. And no, two wrongs don't make a right. Especially how that planet had nothing to do with the bomb that was meant to destroy the big bad mass destruction protoculture weapon they were digging up.
