All hope in (forcefully) fixing my shitluck is not lost.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on Albert. He does look plenty okey. His weapon also has fire bonus so that's good. I guess I can swap him in for SSR Feena so only Yuel is actually vulnerable to water. Not much better (Feena is actually pretty fun) but probably more stable.
