Regarding the loading time, although there is no cure to it, there is a way to speed the game up through the alternative of using the beta mode. It doesn't save you from the loading, but it does speed up everything else.

I am using the beta mode. Don't know why but when using the regular mode it actually loads but doesnt display sprites. Some wierd bug.
