I came away thinking that the first episode of this new anime series was dull and unimaginative. The characters seemed to be generic and the setting unnecessary. Wondering if this is going to be like Touhou with folks who like the game liking the anime and folks who don't play the game are left saying, "WUT?!?"

Pretty much this. Well I will (probably) give a shot another episode or two, but I can't realy see myself finish it.
I think it might be more interesting if these abyssal beuties were main characters instead.
