It seems there's shipping war even among the staff. There's a rumor that Hirofumi Masuda - the other head animator in the movie - made (and deleted) a tweet about Tetsuo Nishio (the character designer) saying Naruto and Hinata remind him of Kimi ni Todoke in the movie.
