Playing Starcraft -- that's almost exactly what the Zerg are.
And if that's what must be done -- then that is what must be done. Can't fight the hordes of BETAs forever. For every bunch of BETAs killed, more are simply spawned.
Just hope, humanity never encounter such an enemy in real life.

I don't see Total War as a form of conventional war though. Instead, the tactics and strategies used to implement Total War have not worked in this series. Now that I'm at Eps 16 with this comment -- every effort seen so far looks to be half-assed.
