Ok, so i thought it was time to update this.
Lately, the problem i talked about didn't appear. I don't know why is it but what has been happening is that mplayer takes like a minute or so to close but it has never hung up like it did before.
My guess is that must be my system, and i'm thinking of reinstalling it completly (got other issues too).
The only thing i noticed is a variable not defined error under console but my guess is that just happens with certain MKVs and not all.
I'll update this after i get a clean install
