Technically either 5 or more Battlemechs are based on the VF1. You missed the Crusader [Which is a VF1A Armoured knockoff] and Battletech considers the Wasp, Stinger and Phoenix Hawk LAMs to be seperate mechs from their non transformable versions. And the Phoenix Hawk IIC is twice the weight of the standard one and considered a seperate design from either of the non clan Phoenix Hawk base designs.
