Just got my OST for S&W..... <drool> still listening, will review when done.
edit: interesting.... the instrumental 'dance' pieces are like a mishmash of a variety of cultures including Slavic, Gypsy, and some Middle Eastern -- just like one might hear while traveling trade routes. Nice to listen to... also really liked the 'action' pieces, very dynamic.
The main OP tune (track 2).... several comments:
1) I found it a bit over orchestrated and with too much background vocals. The piece works best if kept simple because it lets her vocal nuances really shine. She's got some nice bluesy tones.
2) The opening intro.... has a lot of similarity to the opening chords of the radio/tv OP for "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". That's not a bad thing.
Overall, not bad but I'd wish for a bit less in orchestration and backup vocals.
The ED is just as mind-killing sweet as always...
Overall this is one of the better OSTs I own now and the medieval ambience makes it highly useful in my D&D romps.
