Here is a revised version.
Spoiler for My revised speculations:
Lawrence, Horo with Nora leaves for Ramtora. As cover Lawrence takes the armor and a chaperon from Lemerio so Lawrence does not escape.
As they enter the forest everyone hears rustling in the bushes. Instantly tension runs high among everyone around as the dog starts growling towards the general direction when a rabbit jumps out, the once tense air thaws away. Horo asks for them to wait for a moment in an embarrassed motion with a slight blush on her cheeks and she runs into the woods.
The chaparon from Lemerio and Nora asks if she needs help but Horo answers back in haste that she will be right back. From there on the rest of the trip was quite uneventful and they reach Ramtora and plants the gold into the sheeps as plan.
On the return trip they are attacked by a large pack of wolves. Nora and her dog defends the sheeps from the wolves but the biggest sheep was carried away in the confusion.
As they return back to Rubenhagen, the sheeps Nora brought along belonged to the church and they needed to buy the sheeps from the church.
After Lawrence purchases the sheeps, Horo whispers to the priest if he can issue a holy document that the sheeps and "everything attached" are given the church's blessing telling the priest that they want to sell the fleece at a good price and wishes to donates some money for the blessing. Lawrence pays the church with the money he obtained selling the armor at Ramtora.
After obtaining the sheeps, Lawrence goes to Lemerio with the sheeps telling him that the plan was mostly a success but have lost one sheep on their way back. Lawrence also tells Lemerio that they owe Nora 20 Lumione gold coins.
Lemerio answers back that they need to confirm how much they were able to bring back first before discussing how to divide the spoil.
In gutting the sheeps and weighing the amount Lemerio betrays Lawrence telling that there was only enough for Nora's 20 Lumione and not enough for Lawrence's debt.
Horo pleas, "Nushi-sama don't be so greedy we have paid fo the sheep and took the dangerous road to smuggle the gold for you. Can't you give Lawrence some mercy?"
Lemerio answers back not to hold a grudge that it's just business and he will secure profit whenever possible.
Horo handing the holy document to Lawrence asks back, "But then I will lose my partner and traveling companion, left alone I will surely become depressed not being able to endure the weight of the crime I have commited. I may act out of haste make a confession to the church."
Lemerio cornered this time knowing he can't let the two escape nods to his men, when Lawrence speaks out, "Now we all want to leave here our seperate ways happily. Sir if you pay Nora for her troubles and let us go unharmed, I will give you this holy paper stating that the sheep and everything attached was bless by the church making the gold legitimate so nothing we may say will incriminate you. What do you think?"
Lemerio thinks and satisfied with Lawrence's proposition, tells him he has a deal. Lemerio hands Lawrence 20 Lumione and the 3 Trinity silver he made as deposit telling him it was nice doing business.
Horo asks Lawrence what he is going to do. Lawrence said only one thing and heads outside where Nora waits and hands the 20 Lumione telling her it was nice doing business.
Horo stares at Lawrence out of astonishment telling him she is amazed how honest a man can be. Lawrence just nods telling her he is amazed as much as her .
Horo takes a big breath and asks if they can go back on their trip.
Lawrence agrees.
Horo then point to the road to Ramtora and in which Lawrence asks back why they need go back. Horo only tells him that he will understand when he gets there.
Again entering the woods, Horo howls where a pack of wolfs appears.
Lawrence jumps out of fear but Horo tells him not to worry that they are faithful since she held her part of the bargain.
Lawrence asks Horo when and why what kind of bargain she made with these animals, in which Horo answers back.
"You remember when we were heading towards Ramtora I ran into the woods, I told them then that they will not be able to outwit Nora and her dog without my direction and that if they wait attack until on the way back then I would help them hunt the biggest sheep in the herd."
Lawrence bewildered asks why.
Horo with a cool face tells Lawrence "Wolves don't have use for gold." as she moves a brush and points to the remains of the sheep with the gold intact.
How is that?
