Basically there are 3 scenes. The first one shows Miyoko bumping into Big Rika and then she runs back into the house. In the second scene, during the midday we see Miyoko and her parents get into the bus, which crashes because the driver has a heart attack. Lastly, we cut to the third scene, which occurs at night and we see Miyoko putting the French flag into a box.

So what exactly happened? Did Rika basically "send" Miyoko to die with her parents OR did she actually avert Miyoko's parents' deaths and save Miyoko's whole family?

Basically in that world, Takano ended up going with her parents to the department store despite the warning she could get killed by the accident. I guess since they were all together this time they all survived.
