It's been a very long time since I saw FLCL. To be honest, at that time, I was huge into Mech, and had only watched it for that. That's probably why I didn't like it.

I have to agree, 12 kingdoms is a phenomenal show. Story line is awesome, and the animation is incredible. I haven't seen The Story of Saiunkoku though. For some reason it just hasn't appealed to me.
