Milgram

This project is reminding me of Nico's peak days of music projects.

3 voting cycles. The result of the previous cycle may effect the songs in the next cycle.
The audience also has to piece together the story from the MV KagePro style.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-05-18 05:32

When's the first cycle? The first PV alone doesn't really tell much other than the basic premise. Also can't tell whether is this Dan-Ron style execution game or not or just imprisonment

shmaster 2020-05-18 14:16

Doesn't look like Dan Ron to me since nothing is determined until the third voting cycle.
The sole winner live and everyone else dies.

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread)
First trailer is live

BTW, Kotoko's CV Aimi is quite popular going by the chat stream. Which Aimi is this? The Poppin' Party one?

shmaster 2020-05-27 21:56

It is this Aimi.

The crowd probably are her Youtuber fas.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-05-28 04:28

Yeah, Bang Dream Aimi then

shmaster 2020-06-10 02:50

Firs song in just a few day, and the second single is 6/24th.

BTW, the story is written by the same guy who did Caligula.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-11 03:51

Haruka's MV releases tomorrow

The writer is Caligula's? No wonder it feels so similar

shmaster 2020-06-12 23:33

Wow, the lyric is laoded with traps so many that this is Angel's Song and Distorted Happiness all over again.
The lyric here is out right exploiting the viewr's first impression to the point I don't even know how to make deduction.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-14 03:51

I'm not even sure who it was he killed....himself? Was he supposed to be the only kid in his family or was the victim another person? Nor does it say what even is the actual reason he's in.....whatever that prison place is. Come to think of it, we don't even know what sort of "sins" milgram is supposed to judge

At first glance it looks like sibling fratricide but it feels a bit off.....He kills his brother then wakes up as per normal like some kind of bad dream?

Alternatively, it could be another Gretel (SinoAlice) situation....

shmaster 2020-06-14 12:55

I think the story dong is trying to make us believe he either has developmental disorder or mental disorder from birth, and has been institutionalized.
But the song title indicate this is a tomogui, but I simply can't find out who and for what Haruka is tomogui with. I can't come up with any accurate analysis if I can't even figure this out.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-14 13:10

That's what I meant by Gretel situation; whether it was himself. Did he cannibalize himself and we are left with this new, broken personality? Otherwise I can't see him literally eating someone else.

shmaster 2020-06-14 21:53

Nah, the tomogui here doesnot mean actually eating someone.
It is the meaning two person of similiar circumstances/status/demand preying on each other to achieve similiar type of goal and in process destrying ona another.

...the problem is still the same though.
I'd love to give the theory that Haruka has multiple personality and is killing himselves inside... but knowing Yamanaka's writing, this is a lot less likely. His focus on more actual and realistic mental pathology is realy preventing me from giving this a go.

This is just the first song and the bar is already this high.
Can he just give us something easy like Peterpan Syndrome?

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-15 05:56

Speaking of that, there's also the theory that Haruka is mentally stunted because of all the hiragana.....not sure how true that is (and also never made sense to me. Imagine a book purely in hiragana. What a nightmare)

This is an accurate interpretation. As I have stated above, the song hinted strongly on developmental disorder and mental disorder.
And that's one thing that I feel is that for sure it is true.

What hurts my head more is wheather the little boy in the MV jus Haruka's past self, or he actually has a little brother?
I want to believe that's a little brother as that can help us solve the tomgui issue.
But the same time the lyric has very strong self denyng message so it makes sense for Haruka to deny his past.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-16 00:45

Anyway, this being the Caligula writer, I wonder if there is a "correct answer" to who to pick that will properly resolve the entire situation. For example Caligula revolved around the MC identifying he's stuck in the dreamland so he can deal with the situation.....are we supposed to identify something like this here?

shmaster 2020-06-16 01:38

That'll probably be Es.
Having just one person geting murdered ny 10 different people is physically impossible.
She probably is just a metaphor of the sins to the other ten characters.

And the rabbit... the rabbit is such a QB to the point I don't know whether i should take it at a face value.

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-16 01:55

What do you mean by QB?

And I thought Es is a dude lol

shmaster 2020-06-16 19:13

Abbreviation for Kyubey.
What else can that rabbit be?

Cosmic Eagle 2020-06-16 22:52

Oh, yeah. That rabbit is suspicious but it's no Kyubey. If it were it wouldn't be so foul mouthed and obviously un-friendly lol
