Hamazura, you truly are the poor man's Touma.:heh:

It really does get tiring and annoying to hear Accelerator go on about being a villain.

We will finally get to see DRAGON next episode.

To be fair, having a pointless monologue is a villain staple, a necessity if you will.

He's a white-haired, red-eyed high schooler with superpowers and named "Accelerator". It's a miracle his chuunibyou isn't even more pronounced.

And Index has lips..:heh:

Give him a break, we all had an edge-lord phase at some point in our lives.

Touma does lot of his heroic speeches too, so Accelerator giving his villainous speech to people is no difference to me.

But to do it every, single, time he has screentime is a bit much. Heck, even the LN version of Accelerator wasn't THIS chuuni, sure, he did his little villain monologue but at least he felt like he restrained himself from going full chunni. Heck, that little laugh he does in the anime is also being overused quite a bit, since in the LN he isn't THAT euphoric at everything he says and does.

Also, someone on the anime team must be a Index (the character) fanboy because those EDs focusing on her are getting a bit too tiring. Sheesh, at least show us something that is actually of importance to the story in them so instead of Index posing in abstract backgrounds with no relation to anything at all.

Those are not equal to each other. Toumas' speeches are used to challenge the antagonists beliefs until they either make a mistake or realize that they are ok the wrong side.

Accelerator just drops the villain line in every time he speaks for no reason other than sounding like an edgelord. You did a good deed Accelerator, either stay quite and leave while being thanked or pull a Batman and disappear before getting said thanks, no need to act THAT edgy.

I think he does it because he is incredibly insecure and has to keep deflecting praise or any hint he might be a good guy.

rladls2121 2019-01-27 03:59

Right, I see the difference.
It is as if Accelerator is kind of bragging about it, again as if.

The LN version does that, but far better. The way the anime does it makes it difficult for me to take him seriously.

Give to the man a rest, he is soooo lucky of being alive in this point of time without powers of some kind and even so he's trying his best in this shithole that is Academy City.

Is well-known that the staff is fan of Index, or so I heard.

If seeing Index animated (even in pointless ways) is what is required to keep the team motivated about their work I'm all for it.

I would rather give the series to the Railgun team because at least they seem to know how to animate the real Kamijou Touma.

While I don't exactly hate this adaptation, I can't exactly praise them for their work, especially when it seems like all of the budget goes to the EDs.

Kuroageha 2019-01-30 23:48

Budget for static images? wow, reaching too much there.

ED2 got some animation at least.
But then I recall S2 ending1, that was so traumatic.

Also yes, Index Staff likes Index :heh:. But that's not all, remember they're publicity for ED singles by Iguchi Yuka, same happened for Railgun S endings.
