[Manga] Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Chapter 9 Discussion Thread

Welcome to the weekly manga chapter discussion thread. This thread is created early to discuss spoilers and speculation about the upcoming chapter as well as discussion of said chapter once it has been released.

As per the forums rules, please don't ask for or mention about where to download the (licensed) manga. Also remember not to post or link to any translations of the manga, since this is illegal as well. Posting a synopses or summary is fine (and welcome) but please do not discuss scans, raws, translation groups, etc. Additionally, if you are posting another's synopsis (or their translation of a synopsis), then please provide credit were credit is due.

Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant parts of the chapter. This stands for pictures and direct translations. Summaries are OK, crops of pictures are OK as well if you want to illustrate your point but this is it.

Sarada shows some amazing strength, it seems her mother Sakura taught her how to use her charka in the ways of Tsunade.
also there's a ton of Shin clones in this chapter, but nice to see Naruto counter than with his shadow clones. question is, just how many of these clones of Shin are there?. also Shin looking like Edward Scissorhands with those blades, hardly original, but more like Shredder from the Ninja Turtles in the opening pages.

This story is so weird. I like it, but I also wish it was something different. The Shin clones as villains just aren't doing it for me.

My interest in the villain has shifted from indifference to boredom. I'm just waiting for the whole "Who is Sarada's real mother and what were the circumstances regarding her birth?" thing to finally resolve itself.

I predict the final chap , Sasuke always brings with him the photo of Sakura holding newborn Sarada , he got it before he departed :P

i liked how everyone was suprised but sasuke had a smirk on his face

Chou chou: I even see some chunky ones out there
Sarada: We'll leave those to you then Chouchou

classic, that made my day!

Decent supposedly pen-ultimate chapter. Sadly, with all the heroes powers re-emerging, I can't help but feel this is a prologue to something much bigger, rather than simply an extended epilogue/one-shot that Kishimoto supposedly intends it to be. Maybe this is all just set-up for Naruto GT?

Wow. How Shin (clone) act to Shin (original) remind me of an old movie.
When your clone see you as a defective with lack or no authorities, they don't give a damn about your death but wishes that you're died ASAP so they can replace you.

Glad to see father-daughter combi become the MVP of this chapter.
I loved when Sarada's Sharingan activated followed with her going forward using her 'destructive' strength; opposite to her father at Part I who tend to defeat enemies one-by-one.

Sure lets just toss in a couple dozen more random Shin clones that the villain didn't know about. Getting a bit weird. Alas, Sakura failed to do much in her fight as expected, another missed opportunity.

Wandering Soul 2015-06-25 09:56

There were a lot more Shin clones but they are really just fodder for everyone to show off their strength. Sakura didn't get to much though and had the spotlight taken by Sarada.

the stupid argument about Sarada's parents finally come to an end
Seeing that sharingan and "absurd" power already proved her lineage

I want to see more Sakura's fight... but Sarada stole everything :(
Sharingan is so OP after all

GDB 2015-06-25 12:38

Unless the original Shin is vastly stronger than the clones, then Sarada > Sakura? Geez Sakura, Kishi really does hate you.

The power has nothing to do with lineage unless your saying Sakura is related to Tsunade? it's just showing who raised her is more important than her biological parent.

well, she got Sakura's attitude after all.. and I think even Sakura didn't teach her that far yet to use that technique.. it is matter of talent and I think it is lineage

I wonder what a hack is to be a jinchuuriki and have sharingan at the same time :heh:

Just ask Madara or Obito they will tell you. :)
P.S. I don't even want to compare this to the original series it looks so boring with this lame villain(or his clones), Akatsuki and Madara were sooooooooo much better.

I got the impression that Sarada's Shanaroo punch was supposed to be an inheritance from Sakura, therefore ending the mystery. (even though there was never really a mystery to begin with :heh:)
