Looks like Bone's upcoming new project is called Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita.

Akiyo Ohashi (The Stranger by the Shore) is directing the anime at BONES. Yuniko Ayana (BanG Dream!) is in charge of the script and series composition. Haruko Iizuka (Horimiya) is designing the characters. MAYUKO (Cells at Work!) is composing the music.

Studio BONES' president and producer Masahiko Minami presented the anime at Avex Pictures' panel after teasing the project on Tuesday.

I've never heard about this before. It seems like a very sincere and sweet romance...even given the premise :heh:.

I liked Inu x Boku SS but this one was left unfinished because of the authors death, so I fear the anime will also have no conclusion.

I'm honestly surprised they're doing this now considering as Nachtwandler said the manga is unfinished and Cocoa Fujiwara passed quite some time ago. So a different situation to Nami Sano's passing who's last work was actually completed.

They're doing this partly in honour of Cocoa Fujiwara, as she is a fan of Bones. Considering the circumstances they'll most likely conclude it themselves.

The story seems to be another super sentai parody, where an evil subordinate develops romance with the justice magical girl.

The cause of her illness is still unknown.

I am curious to see if they'll try to give it an anime original ending. Either way the setup for the series has cute appeal. I also did enjoy Demon Fox × Servant SS. So I'm all for seeing one last story from that author.

On a lighter tone, the preview looked really good :). I'd expect nothing less from Bones of course. And somehow I'm all for this kind of sweet magical girl and evil lieutenant romance after...other things the magical girl genre has been getting up to as of late :heh:. Might be a bit refreshing.

And I guess that trailer confirms it'll be a summer show. Summer is looking pretty solid already with the shows getting announced for it.

Itazura na Kiss got a satisfying anime ending despite the author's passing, so when they put care into it, the endings can be done quite well.

Seems like a cute and likable girl. Good on her for both putting in the work for her day to day life and then putting it all on the line to fight crazy threats.
