To be a good Pawn, he has to be more than just stronger, right? The ability of a Pawn is Promotion. He has to be good a good Rook, Knight, Bishop and Queen.

You're right about the Dragon thing, but if all he has going for him is his Dragon power, then he's completely vulnerable to Dragon Slayers. At least Vali has the Demonic Power to be able to resist them to some extent. Ise is more Dragon than Devil, so he's in bigger trouble.

Though another problem I have is with how everything still think his base is crap. I mean, yeah, it was crap in the beginning, but it shouldn't be like that anymore after the training to strengthen his base and work on his basics. He should be doing that training as well, and we saw in Volume 2 what just two weeks of that training did to him. The point was to strengthen his base so that he'd be able to withstand the boosted power from the Boosted Gear. If his base was still weak, he wouldn't be able to handle the Boosted Gear. And there's also the fact that the stronger his base is, the higher his power will be when he boosts it. I think most people on this forum forget that and just say his base is crap.

Even though Ise seems to have gotten better now since he said in Volume 12 that he can take on Ultimate-class Devil level fighters now, he normally is the type that underestimates himself a bit too much. It may be true that his affinity with the Bishop Piece sucks and that his affinity with the Rook Piece is really good, but I personally don't want to believe him when he says stuff like, "I'm stupid" or "I barely have any Demonic Power and I'm weak". Because that could just be his underdog mentality talking. And besides, affinity isn't necessarily everything, either, is it? And Rias also wants him to be the Ultimate Pawn, which he also wants to do for her, but unless he can be good with the traits of each Piece he can Promote to, he can't become the Ultimate Pawn. Unless I'm looking at it wrong.

About Ise's Demonic Power; in one of the quotes I posted from Volume 2, doesn't Rias say that without the seal on his Evil Pieces, he was supposed to be strongest after Akeno (I'm assuming she meant base Ise, in terms of Demonic Power)? Akeno passed the Mid-class Promotion Exam, and it was said that she, Ise and Kiba are High-class Devils in terms of overall power. Akeno's Demonic Power should High-class then, right? If Ise's is second best after hers, it should be Mid-class, shouldn't it? Low- to Mid-class or Mid- to High-class.

I wonder how much Demonic Power can be raised through training. Everyone in Rias' peerage trains all the time, pretty much, including Rias herself. And the First Gen. Sun Wukong also said he'll train them into Ultimate-class Devils personally. Can Ise raise his base Demonic Power to Ultimate-class, I wonder? It should be possible through training, since Rias would also be going from High-class to Ultimate-class.

I was only saying that maybe once the power from Ophis that Ise has is matured and he fully unlocks it, it might give him a completed DxD G or maybe Dragon God-level powered form better than DxD G. On the Boosted Gear. Looking at his True Dragon form in EX, he also has a form that doesn't require the Boosted Gear where he has Dragon God-level power, but I'm saying he might have a Boosted Gear-related form that as well.

DxD G's G stands for "God," after all. I guess I still don't want to just be for show.

It may not apply to forms below (unnerfed) DxD G since only it had potentially Dragon God-level power which Ise couldn't handle fully. Cardinal Crimson Queen is still being trained and when it's completed it'll be Heavenly Dragon-level.

Ise has some of Ophis' power in him by default due to his current body, but it isn't matured yet and DxD G was an emergency measure when Ise wasn't ready to use Ophis' power yet. My guess.

There's no such problem with Cardinal Crimson Queen because it's not a foreign or strange power like Ophis' power was to him in DxD G (it was said vs. Rizevim that he felt like there was a strange power circulating around in his body and his body was screaming out in pain from it), plus he's already been training with it. Even the first time he used it, it wasn't dangerous or bad to him. He's used to Ddraig's power so that kind of thing doesn't happen with it, but he isn't used to Ophis' power yet. It's still strange and foreign power to his body and that may have been part of the reason for the backlash (though the main reason was that it's too much power for him right now).

I wonder if DxD G can be completed if Cardinal Crimson Queen is completed and the power of Ophis inside Ise's body is matured fully by that point (and he's able to handle it, unlike this time when he couldn't). Or will it require that to happen along with him becoming a real True Dragon (however he'll do that), since he might become a god with that?

The immature power of Ophis in Ise's body gets enhanced by the Sekiryuutei's trait for DxD G, but Ise isn't able to access it fully and is only able to get Heavenly Dragon-level power out of it. Ddraig can Boost it to some extent and the author wants us to think it's equal to complete Ophis' power but it's really a lot less than that. Alright so far?

Yeah, so it's not her full power. But Ddraig's power is still enhancing it to some extent. Maybe it's not full power because, as I said before, the power of Ophis Ise has wasn't completely ready yet and Ophis jump-started it as an emergency measure. So the Infinity Blaster having infinite power could be taken as just hyperbole. But this means I'm being selective with saying that Ddraig stating that the Sekiryuutei's ability being infinite is not a hyperbole.

And there's also the fact that before it was nerfed, all of the jewels on the DxD G armor would always have the infinity symbol on them whenever Ise used its power and the voice from the jewels was saying "D-Infinite-D" instead of "Boost".

I think that the argument from before about Ise's container having a heck of a lot more power in it than he can use at a time still stands, though. And what he does use gets Boosted an infinite number of times, to some extent, automatically because the power of the Sekiryuutei ability is infinite (or was, back when it wasn't nerfed).
